Whoever comes up with the graphic design for the wildcats is GOOD. Cats have some of the best designs I've seen on campers.

I really like the new design thats on yours. The pic you took there really shows it off. It just kinda jumped out at me.

If you camp a lot in the woods, you may want to consider some slide awnings. I really like mine for catching sticks and stuff.... The top of the slide stays clean so you won't drag something back through the seal when you retract the slide.....

Admin. That is a great idea! I did not know about a slide awning. I would go and sweep it first. Do you have any pic's of your awining? I have to agree with you that the wildcat design are some of the best I have seen and I'm always looking at rigs on the road. Thanks steve

Heres a link to a RV awning store, If I where to have to do it again I'd get the one they show that doesn't let water pool on the awning. Theres not much tension on the regular awnings and water tends to pool up when it rains. Its not a big problem, you can sweep it off, or tilt your camper up with the landing gear and drain it off. Some just bring the slide in a little to drain the water.
But I wish I had the one they show on their site that has a frame that won't let the water pool.... That would be for the Big Main slide. Your small bedroom slide barely hold any water. But it would be nice to have those on both.... Kinda pricey though.

Thanks for the link. I'm wondering how that would effect my skylights on the slidout. Would it make it too dark?

Before we bought our 29rlbs, we looked at the 24rl... it didn't have skylights in the slide. When I saw your photo of your 24rl, the first thing I wondered about was the window on the front side of your slide. I looked at the floorplan and there wasn't a window there. Then I checked the west coast 24rl and the floorplan is quite different from the east coast.... it has a nicer floor plan, but lacks some storage space. It looks to me like you have plenty of windows for light, and really don't need the skylights. The awning would still allow some light, help keep out the heat from the sun, protect the skylights and keep debris off.

We don't have slide awnings, but plan on getting them in the near future. Now that Scruffy is retired again, we'll have time to get some stuff done, and do some DIY improvements. ...... And we'll have time to take the 'Cat out on some outings.

I just ordered a slide awning today. I hope to have it by next week and installed quickly. I'll post pics.

I opted for the Carefree brand. I think it's a sleeker look than the A&E.

I think the water pooling up on mine has caused it to start to split.
I may ditch the one I've got for one that drains the water. Is that the care free your talking about ? Stick a link up to the one you ordered ....

We have the CarefreeColorodo slide toppers and the do pool the water. After a storm blows through we always close then open them to run the water off, and never leave them open while at home in storage.
