Moderators Listed

I've noticed that when someone asks to be a moderator here (in this subject), their name gets listed in each subject line. I signed up in the Memberlist or Usergroups (can't remember which one it was), and my name isn't listed. It does appear under "moderators," and in green when on-line, as is with all moderators. Just an observation - I don't need to be listed under the subject lines.

Everything seems to be going very well, considering the newness of the forum.

I'm not positive at what your looking at, But theres a couple of pages of Users now. I think your name shows up on the 3rd page.

Some of what your looking at will only be viewed by you. Others won't be able to see it.

Here's what I'm looking at - in each subject line:

On the Usergroup button:

Usergroups

And when clicking the word Moderator - under "GROUP MEMBERSHIP DETAILS" or the blue word "Moderators" in the subject line above:

Shouldn't all of the moderators be listed in the Usergroup/Moderators section? And, isn't that list of moderators in the subject lines going to get awfully long if everyone that requests being a moderator is included? Scottz, did you sign up to be a moderator in both places? I see your name on the moderator list in usergroups, and also in the subject line. You're going to blow my theory all to heck if you only signed up in one place.

I think you are confusing a couple of things. There are currently five moderators and I think Phillip is going to freeze it at that point.

There seems to be another function called "user groups". Looks to me like Phillip created a user group for moderators. Your not a moderator, but joined it anyway. No problem, just what I think you are seeing. I have not quite figured out the functionality of the "user groups" yet.

Okay, if I get this right ---- I thought I was a moderator, but I'm not. And it is now too late to ask to be one because the limit has been set on five, and the message requesting moderators has been locked regarding replies.

Oh, well. A woman's touch would have been nice. I still like the new forum.

Don't feel bad. All a moderator can do is delete, move or lock posts.

Bev , I did want your touch, I thought you where in ,,,, if not you are now. Then we'll freeze it. I went back and looked and you are in the moderator list.

But the user Group ? ,,, I kept getting emails from Scottz/ tater, that wanted to join a group,,,, I still don't have a clue what it is , haven't had time to stop and look........

Thanks for clearing that up. I think that the way this software is set up maybe anybody can sign up to be a moderator. You might be able to shut that off, maybe you already have.

I won't be on again until later tonight. Got the Rangers home opener today - tailgating in the parking lot, then watching the game. I hope the rain doesn't get here until after the game. Go Rangers!!!!!!
