Forum Topics ?

Post by Admin on Sun Apr 06, 2008 1:34 am

Ya'll look over the forum topics, If we need to add or delete one to stream line the topics let me know. Keep from having a double topic ,,,

Tom, and Scott, I'm not sure what access ya'll have yet, I've just added ya'll as moderators, so not sure what ya'll can access yet.

Let me know if I need to change anything.

cheers

Kind of like deciding where sidewalks should go, just let people walk around for awhile, there will be paths where you need sidewalks. Let the Forums go for awhile and see what gets used.

Phillip, in order to keep the Forum streamlined I offer the following suggestions:

1. Change “Forum Suggestions” to “Wildcat Forum”. The place to ask questions, make suggestions and learn how to use the forum.

2. Move “How to Add Pictures”; make it a topic in the “Wildcat Forum” category.

3. Consolidate “FAQ, Repairs, How to’s, DIY, Trouble Shooting” and “Maintenance Tips & Tricks” into “Maintenance, Repairs, Trouble Shooting”.

4. Delete “Wildcat FW camper related” and “Wildcat Travel Trailer”. Topics for these categories already have a place; don't really need to differentiate between TT & FW.

5. Add "Testing"

6. Put the categories in this order (most popular):

DIY Improvements
Maintenance, Repairs, Trouble Shooting, Service, Warranty
General Campers Topics
Meet the members
Wildcat Owners Gallery
Events and Special Camping Trips
Camp Ground Reviews
Tow Vehicles
Classifieds
Wildcat Forum
Testing

Just suggestions,

Thanks, Scott

Good Idea

Post by Admin on Mon Apr 07, 2008 3:57 pm

Good Idea shooter,

I wouldn't mind adding the forest river web site address and maybe Lipperts repair manual PDF page, and links to DIY stuff, etc......

But as for advertising for the toy shops, Dealers , I'd rather not do those right now. We may need those for sponsers in the future. I'm really hoping to keep it a neutral site and stay away from advertising just yet.

The site may wind up costing a little in the near future depending on what kinda bandwidth we use up....

A lot of people are joining up everyday,, I didn't know I'd get this kinda positive response from the site. But she's shaping up right nicely with the help of everybody on here. cheers

Phillip,

I understand the point of not wanting to advertise for anyone, but sometimes WE find really good places to buy from and would like to share these places for their good prices.

And the links to Doug's RV checklist would be very nice, I've sent this link to may new folks to use as a reference. BUT, i guess if someone wants to create a new up to date one and WE could put it into our NEW forum, a PDI specifically created for a WILDCAT. Very Happy

And did you see my note about the pictures in the old forum?

certain stipulations

Post by Admin on Mon Apr 07, 2008 6:07 pm

OldElmer, when I was reading through the forum rules from the Foromotion guys, It kinda states that your not supposed to advertise for a fee, or anything else.

I just need time to go back through and reread the rules and make sure I don't get the site shut down before we get started good. And they do Look over the site, for Porn, Ad banners, that don't belong to them or that you haven't paid for. So they might consider a toy store list as advertising. Question

I don't see any harm at all in providing that link for somebody thats looking for something or where to buy it....

Dougs links and all that I'll get up there as soon as I get a chance.

I havent had time to go back to the old site , but I'll go check your note out.

Did anybody leave a note on the back door saying we were over here to ? Very Happy
