Tennessee bound

Post by Dennis on Sun Jul 27, 2008 10:52 pm

Heading to Tennessee in the morning. First stop is Fall Creek Falls state park in Pikeville, TN. About 75 miles northwest of Chattanooga. Will be there until Friday, then headed to Jellystone park near Gatlinberg. Will be there until the 7th or 8th. First part of the trip will be me the kids and the dog (see avatar). DW can't take off for more than a week, so she will be flying in to Knoxville on Friday.
This is the furthest that we have gone so far...I'm so excited sunny

Not sure if there is Wi-fi at the state park, but at Jellystone I believe they have it. I will give updates when I can.

Have a great time and be safe. Take lots of pictures and looking forward to hear your camping stories.

I camped a couple of times at Fall Creek Falls with a "pop-up" back in the mid 80's. It was a great place and very family oriented. "Pick-up" softball game every night. The days were hot, but the nights were nice and cool up there on the plateau. I'd like to go back. Hope it hasn't changed much.

Take the kids to Rock City and Ruby Falls.
Then save your Pennys , Cause ya'll will wear the GoKarts out at Pidgeon Forge. ( my personal Favorite thing to do at Pidgeon forge ) Dolly wood is good, they have a brand new roller coaster there this summer. The Horse Show Dinner theater is good also.
Have fun.
