They don't call em man's best friend for nothin'
Re: Leaving Thursday for Grand Teton and Yellowstone
What a trip!! Got back today and hated to return but gotta make some money to pay for the gas
. Crowds seemed about normal with Yellowstone being the usual zoo of humanity.
The area has as much water as I have ever seen, which is good. Averaged 12.5 mpg for the whole trip with the majority of miles with the Cat in back - so I was pretty happy with that.
Here are some more shots for you.

Keith

Thanks for the nice comments.
3 years ago my son and I started a business called Father & Son Photography as it was a serious hobby for both of us. It has been fun and we have sold some pics. He could not go on this trip so I was solo. If you want to see some other pics go to:

Re: Leaving Thursday for Grand Teton and Yellowstone
Nice photos, thanks. What equipment are you using? I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on a good digital SLR.
I was going to look for you at Colter Bay, but we never made it that far. We had some tire troubles and lost a day so we were just able to spend a day and half around Jackson, never made it north of Moose.

Re: Leaving Thursday for Grand Teton and Yellowstone
Hi Scott:
Sorry to hear about tire issues but glad all worked out O.K. I use the Canon Digital Rebel. Great camera but I think the key is the lens and not the body. I use their zoom (70-150) image stablization. I always have a ND filter and polarization filter when outdoors.
Best regards,
Keith

Re: Leaving Thursday for Grand Teton and Yellowstone
Thanks, I'll check it out. I've also been drooling over the XSi at Sams.
Also looking at the 40D. Seems like a descent package with that lense, but not sure that one has IS.
