Service Manuals

Post by The Steckelberg's on 10/20/2008, 12:06 pm

We are now the owners of a 2006 27RLWB Wildcat. We got the unit used from a R/V dealer in town who is not a Forrest River dealer. The manuals we got with the unit are not to great and the dealers training worst. Any one know where to get a set of manuals for my unit ?

Unfortunatly, there really isn't one. All we got with ours is the manuals for different items in the camper. I've learned more from this bunch than a manual could have in it anyhow. Just ask away, somebody will have the answer.

I agree that the Forest River Manual is almost worthless !! The individual product manuals are much better and if your missing on you can usualy get it from the manufacture's website.

We have also purchased the Trailer Life repair manual and have found it to be helpful.

I just requested a model specific manual from forest river. Their response was that they could send a non specific model towable manual to me at no charge. Or, they could send a CD model specific program to me for $25.00, or both in paper form for $40.00. I have contact info for this if anyone wants it.

bpdlk33, who is your contact? I have the 28RKBS also, is the manual specific worth the money or is it just moreless generic????
What kind of info is on the CD or is it just a copy of the original owners manual that you received with your trailer.
Thanks,

The world is waiting for an answer to Bill Small's last question. At least I am. I think a product specific manual would be great. I'd love one for the 29RLBS.

The contact info is: aduncan@forestriverinc.com I hope this helps. She did answer my email within about 2 days. I did not order any manual or CD yet. If someone else does, and they think it is very good, I would probably order one. I would have responded sooner guys but I have been away until today (without a computer) Cool

The manuals aren't very good any way. Just generic info and very little detailed information.

Today I received a non specific travel trailer/fifth wheel owners manual from Forest River. It is better than the one that came with my fifth wheel, but it is still not specific to any model. It was free for the asking for anyone that wants one. It is written better than my original. Again, I requested this info at this email address: aduncan@forestriverinc.com
