Another water Pump Problem

Post by Tree on 10/20/2008, 2:57 am

I started winterizing the RV, had the fresh water tank drained and was starting to pump antifreeze into the system, pump running then it stopped and will not start. I have checked the fuses at the pump and the panel inside. Is there another fuse?
Am I missing something here. Switch light comes on but not the pump?????

The only thing I can think of....did you open a faucet inside? The pump operates on demand. if the pressure builds up, the pump will shut off. Other than that I have no idea, unless the pump itself croaked.

Is there some sort of thermal shut down on these pumps? Maybe it got hot and had to cool down for awhile. Just guessing here.

I think that AVid is right open a valve in the unit and drop the system pressure your pump should come on.
