Satellite Termination Problem
I am trying to install my satellite in the new 09 Wildcat 32QBSS. I have signal coming into the trailer via the WC cable connection inside at the receiver. As long as I connect straight from my receiver to the television I have a picture. When I connect via the satellite out cable connection to broadcast via the internal WC connections all I get is static. What am I missing?
I Hope my explanation wasn’t to confusing!
Any Help Is Greatly Appreciated,
Mike

Re: Satellite Termination Problem
There is a little button on the TV cable recepticle in the bedroom, it should be in the off position (little red light off). Check this, it may be your problem

I Found The Problems !!!!!
OK, I'll admit it I'm a genius
What can I say!!
I started by removing all of the cable connections in the WC. I then rigged a shorting cable so that I could continuity check the cables in order to identify what went where.
1:The cabeling schematic that came with my 2009 32QBBS is misleading, it shows to have two 2-way splitters when it actually has one 3-way splitter.

Re: Satellite Termination Problem
Sorry I hit the wrong button, let me start over:
I started by removing all of the cable connections in the WC. I then rigged a shorting cable so that I could continuity check the cables in order to identify what went where.
The cabling schematic that came with my 2009 32QBBS is misleading; it shows to have two 2-way splitters when it actually has one 3-way splitter, located behind the drawer under the stove. As I was removing the splitter one of the connectors came off, I was able to put it back on & re-crimp.
After identifying all of the cables I found that FR had connected the output of the antenna booster to an output on the splitter & connected the main TV connection to the input of the splitter, this is the reason I was unable to receive satellite signal through the wiring of the cat. All other connections were correct.
The most disturbing issue, & it was pure luck that I found this, was the short in the antenna booster connection. If you pull the antenna booster, you will find three coax connections, one for the antenna, one for the park cable hook-up via the famous jumper & one that connects to the splitter. The park cable is the center bottom connection of the booster. After I had all of the cabling connections correct & the satellite working properly I was reinstalling the connector plates on the walls with the satellite on. As I was screwing the bottom screw of the antenna booster plate into the wall my picture started to distort, as I backed out on the bottom screw the picture went back to normal. The issue is that the bottom plate screw is to long & it pierced the coax cable shorting the signal. Needless to say I installed a shorter screw.
Just a note, I was concerned that the splitter that FR provided would not work with the satellite, which it did, but I did purchase a digital 4-way splitter for $11.00 & installed it anyway.
All is working properly, thing is, with the splitter in the system all three TVs are on the same channel. My next project is to fix this.
All in all it was a simple repair requiring about a 1 1/2 hours & the beat thing is I know what I have.
It is ashamed though, to spend that much money on a new rig & have to repair it yourself.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Re: Satellite Termination Problem
Your not alone on this issue, many here have had the same problem but not always the same outcome.
I had satellite installed on my cat when i bought it and most campgrounds that we go to here in the north east are wooded so with the small domed dish i couldnt get a signal.
So now we use a portable dish most of the time, but in the forward bunkhouse and main entertainment center i installed direct connections from outside for the signal to go directly to the receivers. Now no worrys about the wiring, pushing buttons, jumping connectors, its just a direct connection.
