Your Opinion Is Needed - Pls Read and Help if you can

Greetings All;

I have been asked to do a research project for the National Association of RV Campgrounds (ARVC) and some of the state chapters. The project has to do with what RVers want to see on campground websites and how they weight different features of campgrounds. I will be gathering the info via recorded phone conversations. The survey will take about 10-12 minutes and I'm looking for folks willing to share their thoughts. The project is confined to privately owned campgrounds and the survey is as follows:

Opinions of RVers Wanted
RealVideo Campsites is conducting a research project to better understand what information RVers want to see on privately owned campground websites. The object of this research project is to quantify what information is of value to the RVing community and the relative weight of the information in making a decision to stay with an RV park. The following are the questions to be asked:
• What are the top 5 amenities/features (Wi-Fi, pool, propane, laundry, cable, etc) you desire when staying at a privately owned RV park?
• What are the top 5 items you expect (desire) to “see” (pictures or video) on the website of an RV Park?
• How would you rate the following in importance in making a decision to stay at a particular RV Park (1=low and 10=High).
o Restroom/shower facilities
o Pull thru
o 50 amp service
o Density – closeness of sites to each other
o Rates
o Online reservations
o Cable
o Wi-Fi
o Pool, playground, game rooms, etc.
o Ice/wood/propane/gifts/RV items/
o Scenery
o Social Activities ( potluck, bingo, etc)
o Name items not listed that are 8 and above.
• How do you learn about RV parks in areas you have not visited before?
• What effect will the economy and fuel costs have on your 2009 camping?
• What key items affect your post visit final impression of a new RV park?=======================================================

Keith have you had much response on the survey ?


I did the survey and I have to say its easy and Quick. So if you haven't done the survey yet PM or email Keith and do the survey. I think it will have an impact on Campground operators.

I have not taken the survey. Mostly because I avoid private campgrounds like the plague. They are just not what I am looking for. The more they offer, the less I like them.

Thanks Phillip, for your help and comments. I only had 4 people step forward to take the survey, a bit disappointing. A different group of RVers has had 22 surveyed. The results will be presented to 4,000 campground owners across the US.

If anyone is interested it only takes 12 minutes. Might be interesting to have thoughts on why some avoid private campgrounds. Everyone, have a great day.
