What size TV's are you putting in your entertainment area?

Post by CountryGirl55 on 10/11/2008, 3:14 pm

We have the 24RL WC and I was thinking a 32" Plasma would work nicely. Is it to big? What size are you all watching?

We also use a 27". It is a flat screen which is in our Master Bedroom at home but is easy to carry into the WC when we want to take it along.

Hi. I put a Sharp Aquos 32 LCD in our 29rlbs and it fits perfect in the hole.. You have to slide it in on an angle to get past the front
edge and then straighten it out.It fits in nice and when driving we push it to the back of the hole and 2 of the cushions for the couch
and the original tie down strap hold it from flying around.

I put a 32" Magnavox LCD in. Like someone above mentioned you have to go in at an angle but then it will straighten up. I used a wall mount and it stays with no additional straping.

I mounted a 19" Magnavox LCD in the bedroom area. I used the Thule Pod system to mount it so I can take it outside and hang it on the side of the Cat too.

Big Dave

If Possible could you please post pic's or give a description of where and how you mounted your bedroom TV. I just have mine in the closet but would like to buy a flat screen to mount somewhere.

Thanks

I mounted it above the clothes cabinet at the foot of the bed. THere is one stud in the center of the wall which gives enough support to mount too.

My theory is if you can see daylight around the edges, the TV is too small. But of course that's the theory, the reality is a 27" TV with far too much daylight showing.

Wow :!: Well I guess the DW and I cherish our storage space more than a big screen TV. No TV in the bedroom and only a small 13" in the entertainment cubby. I added a shelf for the TV to sit on and use the bottom of the cubby as a kind of secretatry/office center/storage compartment.

I did see something that really got my attention this summer at the KOA. One of our campers had a 48' Prevost and one of the basement compartments was an outdoor entertainment center. It had the biggest flat screen digital TV I've ever seen in there. It was parked next to the site where the staff had its nightly campfire and this guy had a baseball game on. It was like being at the drive-in movie. thumbUp

27 inch Sharp Aquos LCD, we tried a 32 inch but it was too tight in the entertainment center. We don't bother with a TV in the bedroom.

If I had the money for a Prevost I wouldn't be sitting in a KOA. My RV would turn into a 50' Hatteras or something bigger headed toward the blue waters of St John.

We only bring a TV if we are staying more than a couple of days. Even when we bring one, it is a 15" combo TV/VCR. Makes for a quaint watching experience. Wink

Nope itis a Olevia 32" LCD, and it is sitting in my boudwar for the winter. Furthermore I got JT stabilizers on the landing gear from the factory. Also my waterheater has 3 valves, one hot one cold, and one bypass. I bought this off the lot, didn't special order it and all three had the same options.

Does anyone have the dimensions of the entertainment center and the openings on a 31QBH. The trailer is 4 hrs away in Arlington, and I am trying to figure out how to modify the entertainment center for a 32" LCD and home entertainment surround sound system.

Hello Rick A, I do not have dimensions for the TV opening but a 26" Toshiba Regza fits in the hole pretty good,You have to slide one side in to get it started with out a problem, I think it's about 1/2" wider than the opening of the faceframe. Here is a link to the photo...http://picasaweb.google.ca/stuwinger/TrailerImprovements#,also

My 2009 32QBBS that I bought new at the dealer in February had these options as well. The Olevia has a nice picture but it is a little heavy and thick. The slide only clears the TV by maybe an inch when it comes into the trailer. You could probably put a 37" Vizio or Samsung in the same place as they are lighter and thinner.

We have a 32" Samsung LCD HD in ours. Used a TV mount and put foam behind it to stop the shaking when moving. Have to go in at an angle but have about 1 1/2 side clearance. Have two long trips on it and solid as a rock.

The entertaiment center has a smaller TV area then the 29. The radio is next to the TV on the 30 and below it on the 29. I would need to find some one in the Turlock, CA area that does trailer carpentry and have them redo my center. That would be a great idea. I have room below for the radio. The only concern would be the wiring. Would it be long enough?
