Why even have the extra choices. Everyone knows that Ford makes the best truck. LOL... Nothing else is close.

Ok, Ford may have the best truck, but Dodge picked the best motor...

Re: Truck brand Poll
I have to confess.
The other day a ford pulled-up beside me at a stop light.
He reved it up a bit, shot a flame and some smoke.
So I thought ok, lets do it.. Light turns green.
Hammer down my Duramax/Allison pulled away.
I had him for the first four gears.
Then he started pulling away.
It may have been because he only had a babyQ and ice chest in his truck.
I had 16,500 pound 5r behind mine.
I did pass him again a few miles down the road at the gas station.

And then you woke up.

Sounds good though... I will have to use that one on my Chevy buddies.
Also did you know that:
97% of all the chevy trucks that were ever made are still on the road today?
The other 3% made it home.....

The Cummins is a great engine.

Re: Truck brand Poll
I do like the looks of the F-350 over the 3500. I was just sold on the Cummins. Now, if Ford could just offer a Cummins below the F-550 I would be a happy man. I actually like my buddy's F250 with the 7.3. He just likes my torque on the bottom end. I will kill him on the low end, but he will eat my lunch over 2k RPM.

Re: Truck brand Poll
You know Phil, a thread like this is a good way to get a brand war going. You are treading on thin ice!
So with that said, I will post my opinion (yeah, I know, opinions are like.... and everyone has one). My '02 DMax has 197k miles on it. That's right, it is the first generation engine. Besides normal maintenance items, I have spent a whopping $25 to replace the starter solenoid that cracked due to road debris hitting it. The truck has pulled my Cat probably 15-20k miles. I've run a tuner on it for the last 5 years and no ill effects. I do take care of it and drive sensibly. Driving solo, I get an average 20 MPG and anywhere from 11-13 MPG pulling the Cat. I intend to drive it another 200k miles before thinking of getting rid of it. You cannot argue with success!

Hi Maxtor,
We all know Fords are the best, the problem is the rest of the folks haven't driven a Ford. But you know when they do, it will be all over for their Dodge, Chevy, or GMC.
Future Ford owners here they come.

Re: Truck brand Poll
If you want the toughest truck, get a Ford
If you want the toughest engine, get a Dodge
If you want the best riding truck, get a Chevy.
I chose the Dodge for the Cummins like most people. I am very pleased with the truck and would not hesitate to get another. Also, I have 4 doors and my truck is ~11" shorter than the same thing in a Ford. Being in the woods most of the time, that can mean the difference of being able to turn around or have to back out for 1/4 mile.

If you have a Ford, you just hook a chain to the trees, and pull them out by the roots.
Unless they are over 20 ft. in diameter, then you need two chains.

I just noticed that "dodge" isn't capitalized. Whats up with that?!?
I think Dodge deserves a capital "D". I bought my 04 3500 DRW, 3.73, CTD used in 06 to pull our previous trailer. Made the mistake of going to an RV show and walked thru the 32Q!! Had to have it. Don't yell but this is my 1st P/U and it has really surprised me. It tows the Cat like its not back there. I leave the radar detector on for good measure

Where he made his mistake is to capitalize gmc and chevy.

We all know that they are all good vehicles.
