Re: Garmin GPS Voice Prompts
I just tried it and it works great. But, you have to copy your voice file to your PC, then modify the words, then copy it back to your GPS. Be sure to read the README file in the program folder.
So, you connect your gps to your computer
double click on the icon in MY COMPUTER
double click on folder GARMIN
double click on folder VOICE
scroll down to file : english_american_jill.vpm (if this the voice you use, i do)
and copy this file to your PC. Then make another copy just in case it doesn't work and you need to replace the original file.
open the program and open the file you just put on your pc.
Then just change the words that you want too.
then save it, and copy it to your GPS, replacing the original file.
Or just follow the instructions in the read me file

Re: Garmin GPS Voice Prompts
Thanks Tom!!
POI Factory I had seen but the second one is new to me - thanks. Want a database of 18,500 campgrounds in US and Canada? I just happen to know where to get one. I loaded them into my Nuvi and now I have them all avail when I need them.
Regards,
Keith
