A nice option from the other site

Post by moo2613 on 4/7/2008, 4:28 am

An option I really liked on the last site that may or may not have been useful to others was:

The little "menu bar" at the top left so that you could easily click it and go back to which ever level you wanted. You know, the "all forums - wildcat - fw related- etc.."

I am not a programmer of any sort and I do not know if this can be added, just a thought.

Thanks for putting all of this together.

I'll see

Post by Admin on 4/7/2008, 4:34 am

I'll see if I can Add that feature if its not already there somewhere.

I think what your talking about is already there. IF you click just to the right at the top of the page where it says " Post Reply " You'll see, " Wildcat camper forum : and whatever forum topic your in at the moment. You can click on the first part of the blue words and it will take you back to the forum list. / home page.

Is that what your talking about ? scratch

Thanks
Phillip

Moo,

Also, below HOME, below the date, is:View posts since last visit. This will open only the ones YOU haven't seen yet. Almost just like the ACTIVE TOPICS on the old forum.

And, if you use Internet Explorer 7, at the top there is a button called ABC CHECK, its a built in spell checker....

On my Mac, spell check is available to all programs, don't ever need to run it, no matter what, it'll give me the red squiggly lines under misspelled words. Very Happy

My misspelled words are underlined in red. I thought that was a function of the site, not my browser.

It's a function of the Mac OS, if you have a Mac computer. On a Windows machine you'll have to use the spell check function of the program you are using.

Another option at RV.net is to place your cursor over a post and it will show the first line or so of the post. Is that possable?

Thanks Aaron

Makes sense since I think that Mozilla was originally Netscape Navigator and I think that those guys would do anything to tweak Microsoft. Very Happy

Script

Post by Admin on 4/9/2008, 3:51 pm

Cat, I'll have to add that in the CSS as a script that makes that happen. Just haven't had time to go do it yet.

If you are using IE7, it has a built in spell checker at the top. Its the button called ABC CHECK.

At home yes, at work no. That's why I rely on the google toolbar spell check at work.
But I always have one good excuse for my misspellings: I am a foreigner.... Laughing
