From Jayco to WC
After 8 years in our little Jayco we decided to upgrade to alittle more space and nicer floor plan. By preference, and parking limitations, you can see we are still small, but the space is adequate for the 2 of us. We are slowly getting modifications made.I have finally gotten some pictures into the photo gallery, showing the unit and some of the travel. Hopefully our trip to Colorado later this month wil give some new scenery.

We also went from a Jayco to the cat. We liked both, but the cat is bigger (the Jayco was bumper pull). Where are you heading to in Colorado?

Nice camper, do you have 15 or 16 inch wheels?

Gary,
Congratulations on your purchase, I hope you and your family enjoy your Cat as much as mine has.
How is that quadra-steer for backing in the trailer? I always thought it would be a big asset.

We pulled TT's for nearly 30 years -- never again. With children and unsuitable crew cabs, etc, it was the only way back then.
Our Colorado destination is uncertain. We are taking DW brother, who purchased the Jayco, and get them started with an RV. Usually go to the Gunnison area, but haven't been too happy with Forest facilities lately. We are looking at north of Pagosa Springs. My sister is in there now, and we await her report.

I love it! It was a chance purchase, as I broke down towing, and elected to buy rather than fix the old one and wait on the repairs, etc. This was on the lot, I drove it and was more than impressed wit the turning radius -- much less than the extended cab. In towing the 5th wheel tracks better and it really is an assist in backing. Putting the unit on the drive is much easier, and less strain on axles.
Don't know why GM didn't keep it going. I never thought they promoted it very well. Also think there were a few problems. I know they were not comfortable putting it on the Duramax because it couldn't handle the torque.

They are 15" wheels. I am not sure a 16 inch will fit in the space. I would like to have the 16" for tire flexibility, etc. Will probably take a more serious look in the future.
