Concertone/TV Blue Screen
When we walk up or down are steps to go into the bedroom are tv screen will turn blue. I am sure there is a short or loose connection but not sure where. I removed the concertone to look at the wires and "OH MY" what a complete mess that is. We checked all the connection, they were fine. I assume the loose connection is in the wall somewhere but not sure where or what panel to take off to find it. I don't want to just tear off a bunch of panels looking for it. I will never get them to look the same again. I did see one three prong (cable connection) behind the concertone but assume there is more.
Any suggestions for this model?

Do you have the double connector on the right side of the TV shelf? You might try taking that apart and see if there is a short in there.
I believe the coax does run inside the the wall on the left as you go up the stairs.
I remember someone posted a picture of the coax inside that wall.

Re: Concertone/TV Blue Screen
Sounds like you have a bad coax, connection.
Forest River is famous for bad coax connections. Many of us have replaced all of them. On my trailer, two simply pulled off. You can pick up new connectors and the tool to install them at Lowes, etc.
There is a diagram of the system (29RLBS) in my photos. Or I can e-mail you a copy if you PM me with your address. It won't be exactly like yours, but will give you a starting point.

We have the LCD Flat Screen Monitor/TV that hangs on the wall. With my next Cat we will stay away from that type of tv system.

It is probably just a monitor and uses the Concertone as a tuner. Unfortunately, when (not if) your Concertone dies, the monitor will be worthless.

Re: Concertone/TV Blue Screen
Jeff and Denise. I have the same model trailer that you have. I also had the same system (flat screen monitor and the concertone as the tv tuner) and had the same fears as Scott mentioned. Luckily for me my flat screen fell onto the floor and broke during a minor vehicle accident and was replaced through insurance. Forest River sent the replacement and it was a HDTV instead of just a monitor. How lucky was I? Now, the concertone just gets turned on for the radio and DVDs. Oh wait, the DVD part just broke on our last trip, now I'm scrambing again. Oh well, at least I still have the TV and radio. As far as the blue screen is concerned, it is definately the feed to the flat screen somehow. The same thing happened to me. Search all the connections VERY carefully. The ones that I thought were fine, were all loose. So take your time. Does it happen during DVD movie watching or TV watching or both? I know what you mean about the wiring mess behind the Concertone. I think I have enough extra wire to wire another trailer back there. They just coiled it up and stuffed it in behind the stereo. But, there are some splitters back there that could be inside the wall behind the coiled wires. Also, I have some wiring in the bedroom wall beside the sink. Take out the round plate that the rca and power connection are in for the bedroom tv. Inside that wall you may also find some loose connections. That is why I asked about DVD versus tv watching. I think the coax from the antenna on the roof is inside that wall. There may be a connection in there that in the culprit. By the way, you are looking for coax and rca connections being loose because the rca is what feeds the monitor only screens. Coax feeds the signal to the Concertone. Good luck
