Hello from New Mexico
Finally have a chance to post. We purchased a new WC, a 24RLS, in March, took delivery in April, and parked it until late May when we left for an extended trip. Reading on RV Net referenced me to wildcat on line, where I found reference to this forum. It is a great find. While I was making mods to kitchen cabinets, it was nice to learn that others had done the same thing. I noted with interest concerns regarding the converter, concertone, and the cold water from the shower head. I had nothing to contribute since I really hadn't found any thing wrong.
Working on the WC in the evenings, figuring out storage, mounting towel racks, etc, I noted no fan activity in converter and lights doing strange things. Using the concertone for entertainment let me know the radio had idiosyncrasies, while the CD was fine. Various threads helped me to see the problems. My Jayco had not had any of these problems and I was unaware. I called the dealer, 225 miles away and made an appointment for service as we were leaving on the vacation travel. They straightened out wiring problems in receptacles, and replaced the converter. Didn't have a concertone in stock, so we went on our way. Three days later the converter was out again. This led to a trip to the factory as we were going through Elkhart on the trip.
Rod and his crew were great. Got the 2nd converter replaced with a WFYCO 3 stage, a new concertone (and both are still working fine at this time). They also did several minor fixes on the floor and screen while we were sight seeing.
We are home now and looking forward to more good things from the forum and hope to contribute a little.
