Another Michigander Newbie
Hello Everyone,
What a GREAT forum, I (Denise) has been checking in and out of here for a week now and just can't seem to stay away. There is a lot of great information here. I hope it never changes.
My husband and I have a 2005 27BHWB that we love. We are on are 4th summer with this Beast and plan to never own anything but a WC. We are mostley weekenders due to the hours Jeff works. Like some of you we have had, and still do have, some minor issues with are WC but nothing that we can't live without.
Well, I won't bore you all with my first post but I am happy to have found this forum and have a lot more reading to do while it is quiet here at work.
Have a Great day,
Denise

Welcome to the Forum. You live in a great state for campgrounds. We stayed in quite a few of your state parks in both the lower and upper peninsula back in our early days of camping. That was when we lived near Chicago and Michigan wasn't far away. Now we're in Texas and exploring new territories.

Thank you Tater. I plan to visit Texes when we retire but have a lot of years before that happens. My Parents visited there once and brought back a stuffed Armidella and they played it off to me as it was alive and it scared the life out of me. I hate to say it but are Opossums are cuter.
We have been to many state campground here in Michigan but we perfer the private campgrounds due to we have 2 teen boys and there is more for them to do at the private campgrounds. I know they can chase the girls at both  but there is more activities at the private campgrounds.
How can I get my info to show at the bottom of my posts? I am still learning.

Hello Grover. Thank You. I know exactly what you mean about I-69, we always feel like we are on horseback when we hit that section, but we have found that if we become a left lane driver for that secion it is much smoother of a ride. That is when I can get Jeff to use the left lane. hehe Jeff is a truck driver and he cusses out left lane drivers all the time.

Welcome Jeff & Denise..glad to see more Michigan folks. We are headed to the Ludington area in 2 weeks. I was kind of hoping that I-69 would have been fixed since the last trip. No such luck.

Thank you Admin. I will ask if I need help but I think I am getting there little by little.
Avid, Thank you. There has been no change. It has actually gotten worse as time has gone on. If you drive in the passing lane it is MUCH better.
You all have made me feel very welcome here today, Thank you so much.

Welcome! I lived in the Ann Arbor area for about 12 years with my first wife and five daughters. We were tent campers back then (the girls won't let me forget it either!) but I graduated to a PUP five seasons ago and the WC in my signature this year. I agree that Michigan has a lot of beautiful places. The Copper Harbor area and the Traverse City area are two of my favorites. I am looking forward to more posts about your travels.

Re: Another Michigander Newbie
Welcome Jeff&Denise, seems like there are quite a few Michiganders here. Our family travels up that way a few times a year. DW is from the Midland area. We usually don't pull the camper, though, we are able to stay with the in-laws. We'll be up your way again in August.
