Charging 12V from TV
I have a question maybe one of you more technical fellas can answer.
I was wondering if you can take the battery out of the cat,put it in the bed of the truck and charge it from the plug (7 Prong) in the bed of the truck as you are driving? And if so,Do you need any special resistors, capacitors or anything like that.

Yes you can do that with no added items. The 7-way has a ground and charge connection. It will charge your trailer battery while your towing the trailer. I'm guessing your wanting to charge the trailer battery while you're out sight seeing while dry camping.
Note, the amp output of the 7-way charge connection is restricted by the wire size and distance. You might have 5 to 30 amps of charge rate by the time it gets to the battery in the bed or trailer depending on the trucks wiring system and the distance.

You are exactly right Earl.
If I measure the amps at the plug, will it be close to that at the battery? Will only be about 2' of wire from the plug to the battery.

2' from your amp measurement wouldn't be much lower. If you use a good amp clamp to read amps and a voltmeter to measure voltage and connect a half discharged battery you'll be able to get an accurate charge rate. Than you'd know how much time it would take to fully charge a 50% discharged battery. If you do this test, make sure the truck is up to temp so it's batteries are charged for more accurate results.
If you want a higher charge rate than the trucks wiring gives, you can run larger gauge wiring from the trucks battery to the bed for charging. Be sure to use a fuse or circuit breaker at the trucks battery for protection. Also add an isolation relay/solenoid to prevent the low battery from draining the trucks batteries when the truck isn't running if you do this mod.
