Air Mattress Sofabed...anyone used one?
Just got our 2009 Wildcat 29RLBS on June 4th finally!!! When we got it we noticed it came with the new Air Mattress style sofabed pullout. Anyone out there have one and anyone out there used one? We blew it up which with attached electric pump was very fast, and then laid on it. Don't think I would want to sleep on it. Leave that to our 15 year old and friend if she brings one. I wonder about the quality of it? Will it last several seasons or is it going to leak and need replacing probably the day after the warranty expires?
Other than that, I am so happy about the new 5th! I have way more storage space in it than our 07 Jayco 31BHS. I will miss the bunks for the kids but the rear living area is going to get a lot of use and is more practical for us. Going out next weekend for it's inaugural trip and can't wait!!!

I've seen info about the air mattress and wondered about it. Let us know how it works.
Have a great inaugural trip..... and hopefully don't have any problems.

We have one on ours. The mattress is an Aero-Bed. We have used one around the house for several years now and everyone who uses it loves it.
So far only my 11 year old grand daughter has slept on the one in our Wildcat, bur she likes it also. Even more than the standard sofa bed mattress that was in my last Sunnybrook.

Air Mattress
I have one on my sofabed. I was shocked to see it for the first time. I requested the sofabed on my 08 - 32qbbs and did not think to ask if it would be on there or not. I was a little disappointed at first, but my in-laws have used it a few times and they really like it. The wife and I are looking to add one to our bed (just throw on top of the mattress. If we like it we might remove the mattress)

Re: Air Mattress Sofabed...anyone used one?
I just picked up our 09 30Loft last Monday! During the PDI one of the last things I did was make the furniture into beds. (dinette, J-sofa in bunkhouse, and the sleeper sofa in the living room) When I opend the sofa bed I was pleasantly suprised to see nothing!!! No mattress or anything. I asked the guy what gives and he didn't know.
He went and got the service manager and they scratched thier heads an left again. They cam back in 5 minutes with the air mattress set up!
During our search for a camper the wife and I saw the air bed on another unit and loved it! Wanted one with the Wildcat and was told it was not an option..... :-( So I was very happy when they brought me one and laid it out on the couch.
But wait! it gets better! When I got home (bought it in Indiana, home is in Virginia) the drawer under the sofa bed was open. And what do you know! there is the original air bed! So for the price of a brand new camper we got 2 air beds!!!
And yes, I have slept on them and prefer them over the standard type mattress.
Enjoy!!

Well now that we have had a chance to use it....it is good. Most sofabeds have awful mattresses. Haven't tried a good one yet so looking at it that way it's fantastic. My 15 year old and her friend have slept on it for at least 7 nights so far and no complaints (except we wake them up too early!).
Even the mattress in the 'master' bedroom was not good for me. I had a sore back for days after sleeping on it for 3 nights. We switched it for a queen we used to use before we got our waterbed. Now the master bed is also comfortable!!

Another trick for the master bed mattress is to use a memory foam topper.
We use a 2 inch and it is quite comfy now..........
