When storing the Wildcat for several months should you disconnect the battery?

Thanks, Tom

In my opinion , if I was going to store it where I couldn't plug it up to charge the battery, I would take it out and put it in my shop, garage , shed, ETC.. and charge it every so often ..just my two cents ..

If you're storing it in a warm climate, you really don't have to take it out if you don't want to. But at the very least, you should disconnect the battery or add a battery cut-off switch so your RV internal systems don't continue to slowly drain your battery.

If you don't have a battery cut off switch, the radio and the propane sniffer are always powered up, you should at least remove the fuses if you are not going to plug her in.

The fuse for the radio is in the fuse panel, the fuse for the sniffer should be located near the battery.

I leave my unit plugged in 24/7. But I installed a 4-stage converter/charger so my batteries aren't cooked to death.

I turn the batteries off, I installed a switch and a second battery, and take them out. It's been in the -10F range outside and should be in the +50F range inside where they're stored. Sitting on top of a milk crate off the floor. Needless to say, I'm a 10 day drive from there and it's in the upper 60's/low 70's here. lol!
