Cedar Point Camper Village, Sandusky Ohio CG Info?

Anyone ever stayed at the Cedar Point Camper Village CG in Sandusky, Ohio? We are looking into going to Cedar Point Theme Park this summer, and was wondering if the CG was recommended? Never been to Ohio before, and were looking for other things near by to do, or see. We were going to put our feet into Canada also, but looks like we would need a passport. We were hoping to come back and tell everyone we went to Canada, with a photo of course, for proof, but I quess that's out. Shucks. Any pointers would be great if you are familiar with that part of Ohio. Thank you.

I guess there is not many members from Ohio onboard with us in here? Which brings up a question; do I remember statistics on where members were from? It would be interesting to see the numbers of members from which states. I thought Admin did that some where?

Ohio tourism website is www.DiscoverOhio.com We use to stay in Northeast Ohio along I90. There is alot of wineries along that stretch of roadway if that is something of interest. Hopefully that link will help. You should be able to get a calendar of events there.

Cedar Point is a great place, camped there last year, its a busy place with lots to do; as for a passport we as Canadians don't require one to cross into the USA if we are driving, if we fly then we require one. We have whats called a enhansed drivers licence which has a hologram picture of us and our signiture on it.

The wife and I traveled into Canada last year for my business. We drove and I forgot the passports. We went in anyway. The Canadian agent said we can get into Canada without any problems, but the US guys may not let us back in. We did get back in after some begging on my wife's part and some laughing on the agents part. She has a way of explaining things, God love her. They were very nice on both sides of the border.

Interesting experience, Zog. My luck would be that the US side would lock us up . I think that we will at least go to the border and look around. Thanks for the info.

Cedar Point campground is right next to the park. You can walk into the park. Nice campground with nice shaded spaces. 2 of our daughters worked at the park for several years, and we would pull the camper out there to spend some time with them. Water park is nice also. Have fun. Tim
