God Watches Over Old Farts

Post by Scruffy and Tater on 1/10/2012, 9:46 am

Scruffy says "God watches over us old farts, thank God."

We are leaving tomorrow morning. Scruffy went out after lunch today to pull the trailer out of the backyard and into the driveway. The truck wouldn't start. He put the battery charger on it and got it started. He found the receipt for the battery - 85 month battery, 24 months old. He took it to National Tire and Battery where he bought it - it had a dead cell. They replaced the battery. I say, "Thank you God for letting this happen at home."

Know how you all feel............afew weeks back, the batteries (2) in my Dodge Diesel were dead, so hit them with the charger and fine for a day or so. Went out afew days later, dead batteries again, both deader than a doornail... I bought these batteries in March of 2011, so only 9 months old, from WalMart. Hit it with the Quick Start of the battery charger, drove over to WalMart and they replaced both batteries for Zero $$. When you have dual batteries like in diesels, if one battery goes south, then it draws the other down along with it, so best to replace both with fresh ones... Thanks you Wally World...
