Thinking about Branson.
The DW and I were thinking of going to Branson Mo. next summer, and I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on what to see.I know there are a lot of country music shows but that's about the only thing we don't care to see, anything else we are open to.Would like some info. on camping sites also, state parks, private owned it really doesn't matter. As long as they have electricity and a place to at least fill up the water.
Thank you in advance for your reply's.

For camping, I don't think you can beat America's Best Campground. Very, very clean, nice, helpful staff, wide and long sites. We've camped there twice.
There is alot more to hear at Branson, other than country music. How about Andy Williams, the Red Skelton Review and who can forget an hour with Mark Twain. I would suggest that you go online at one of the many Branson websites and take a look at the shows that will be in town when you're there.
Also, don't miss Silver Dollar City and the Branson Belle. A day spend in the old downtown section of Branson is a day well spent. Plenty to do and see and some really great stores, including a real 5 & 10.
We've been to Branson 4 different times. You'll love it.

Re: Thinking about Branson.
We stayed at Branson's Ozark Country Campground when we went last year. It is a Passport America campground and they honor (at least they did last year) the discount every day of the week. Even holidays. Very impressive. The campground itself is nice with some older pull-thru sites (full HU) that require a little positioning, and some brand new slab sites (no shade though). A little twisty road to get to it, but well worth it.
By all means don't miss the Branson Belle. A great ride on the lake and a super show. There is also the Butterfly Palace, and I can't remember what else we saw there, but there is a lot to see.

Found a website where you could punch in your trip dates and find out who's preforming there at that time.
