It is finally mine!

Post by cherrykiss3 on Tue Nov 29, 2011 1:26 pm

I finally made it to TX to get my new WC!!!! It is wonderful!! Laughing I love it love it love it!!! cheers

While they were putting the hitch in my truck I spend some hours in it just playing with everything. I found the heater ducts in the bedroom and bath were not working. They got that fixed in no time. Then when I was following DS to the campground the tailights are not working..only the right directional is working. Good thing I was behind him going through town as it was getting dark. He will fix that tomorrow.

I am spending the rest of the week here before I have to head home this weekend. We will go find somewhere to store it tomorrow since I am going to leave it down there. So far I have figured out the tankless water heater and do not have a problem with it..in fact I do like it. I won't be doing much if any boondocking so it will work fine for me.

Tomorrow we are going to hook it up to the truck again and he and I are going to drag this around..well I will be doing the dragging with him guiding me. I haven't pulled a trailer in 20 yr so I am quite nervous about the first time.

IF all that is wrong is the tail lights I will be a happy camper!! I will get pictures tomorrow and try to post them.

Look forward to some pictures. I'm sure the lights won't be a big issues, probably in the pin box area. How did they fix the heat vents?

Thats a grand feeling hooking up to a new Wildcat.

Get your son to take you out to a large empty parking lot somewhere before you hit the streets. That will take a bit of the edge and death grip off the steering wheel. lol!

Be Safe and HAVE FUN

Well just got back from the maiden voyage of ME pulling the Cat. Of course DS was with me. I had to do all the unhooking everything and then hooking back up when we got back. It really went well...I still have the fenders on my truck and the Cat is unscathed!!! cheers

The tail lights were an easy fix. The fuses on my truck were not pushed in all the way but at least I know where they are at in case I need to know in the future.

MOO as for the fix on the heater ducts in the bath and bedroom I am not sure how they fixed them as I was not there at the time. Sorry wish I could tell you how they did it. DS said he had the same problem on his Cat and they had to fix it. (He had a 31T). There isn't a lot of air coming out in the bedroom but it is enough to warm it up.

I tried to get pictures today but the batteries on my camera are dead and I forgot to bring the charged one. I will try to remember to get some for tomorrow so I can get them.

I have a pull through at the campground I am staying but DS had me backing the Cat up etc anyway. Let me tell you I am exhausted as it was a nerve racking afternoon. He is usually not Mr. Patiant but he sure was with me today. We will practice more Sat. when I have to take it to store for a couple of weeks. He is more than willing to be with me pulling it and setting it up until I am comfortable with it.

Even though the campsites are pretty level I am so glad I have the level up system!! Even DS is impressed with it and when he gets another 5er he wants it on his. I sit here every evening watching everyone level their rigs and I am so glad I don't have to go through all of that!! I love my level up system!!! Laughing

Cherry congratulations on the new rig, mine is the same and like you "we love it". It tows so much easier than the 26ft TT we had, we have been in ours since the end of May with only a few problems. Hope yours is trouble free and you enjoy your travels as much as we are.

Just got home from my TX trip getting my Cat. Have it stored down there. I am going back in 2 wk to spend the holidays with DS and family.

Everything worked great in it! I even turned the AC on 1 afternoon just to make sure it was working ok.

Yes, we will take it out for me to drag around again while I am down there. I have to get use to doing that and this time I am sure he will take me through town. affraid

I did try to post pictures but I am having a hard time doing it. Sorry everyone. Guess I will have to wait until I get to work tomorrow and have someone help me.

Anyway I love my Cat and I am so glad everything worked like it was suppose to this week. I hope I got a good one and I don't have too many problems with it. It will be another go at it in 2 wk. santa
