We're home. We had a wonderful vacation.
Stayed at:
Ameristar Casino Campground, Vicksburg, MS - disappointed in the casino, not as good as it used to be.
Davis Bayou in Gulf Islands National Seashore, Ocean Springs, MS - nice campground - fills up early. Water and electric only.
Tallahassee West KOA in Chattahoochee, FL. One of our favorites, the economy is hurting them, and they came close to shutting down last summer.
Holiday Travel Resort, Leesburg, FL - Paid for 5 nights, but spent 3 of them staying with Tater's brother and sis-in-law. Many amenities. Lots of permanent and semi-permanent residents.
Fort Wilderness at Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, FL - Can't say enough about this place, although I've tried in other posts. We have our reservations for January/February.
Tallahassee West KOA again.
Hollywood Casino Campground, Bay Saint Louis, MS - Good campground, paved sites, clean.
Ameristar Casino Camground again - didn't even visit the casino this time - went to the casino down river. Much nicer casino. Much more crowded than Ameristar was a few weeks ago - we aren't surprised.
Home.
Trip went well. Scruffy says it's time for lunch, so I'll write about some experiences later.

I had my camera with me almost all the time. Can't remember taking it out of the holder.

Re: Back Home
Some experiences during our trip:
Senior moment again. I know there were many.
Let's see.... we went to Magic Kingdom to play and see some nighttime entertainment. We staked out our place along the curb on the bridge between Main Street and the castle. Not crowded when we got there, but it got crowded quickly. Scruffy had a folding seat that he put next to my wheelchair - a cast member said he could use it until the parade began. Good - it would be awhile. People were gathering around - they were all very friendly, and that made our wait very pleasant. A young couple with twin 4yo girls were next to me, behind Scruffy. When the parade was about to begin, Scruffy folded the chair and hung it on the wheelchair grips. Then he sat on his backpack on the curb. There were people who could see a bit of curb under my wheelchair and thought it would be a good place to go through. A group of about 7 adults, 3 very little kids, and 3 strollers stepped over us, literally passing the strollers over our heads. Rude people! Then a couple with a baby in a stroller wanted to sit on the little bit of curb. They said they would fold the stroller - I don't know what difference that would have made - there wasn't room for 3 people and a stroller - period. They walked on. Ya know, people get there at the last minute and then want front row seating, well, not on MY feet. But, there WAS room for a thin person in between the front wheels of my chair if the foot rests were in the up position. At the right moment, and after telling the parents of the twins what we were up to, Scruffy moved in front of the wheelchair, and the twins got front row standing room. They were so much fun to watch.... so excited. There was a Street Party parade, then the Main Street Electrical Parade, followed by images of guests being projected on the castle, followed by the Wishes fireworks. When all that was over, we headed for the boat back to Fort Wilderness.
We went to Epcot a couple days (maybe 3) and grazed around World Showcase (Food & Wine Festival). Got small portions (for a price) of foods from various countries. One of the nights at Epcot we stayed for Illuminations, Reflections of Earth. We went to the Mexico cantina right on the lagoon edge, and managed to find a table right by the railing. The tables by the railing are rectangular with a bench on one side, a single chair and an empty space (for a wheelchair) on the other side. Scruffy sat on the bench right by the railing, I switched over to the chair by the railing. Scruffy went to the counter and got nachos and Margaritas. We waited for Illuminations, and watched people try to get tables - one family was snatching up tables until they had 3 for their friends. We had already discussed inviting another couple to share our table. Scruffy noticed a couple looking around and around for a table, with no luck. He walked over to where they were and invited them over. They seemed happy - and went to the counter to get some food. They were very pleasant. They were camping at Fort Wilderness and we found a lot to talk about.

The weather was good the entire time we were there.

On our trip back home after staying at Ameristar Campground in Vicksburg, we were merging onto I-20 - it took a little longer than usual because traffic was heavy and nobody could or would pull over into the left lane. We hit a big pothole, that really startled us. This morning, when Scruffy was winterizing the trailer, he saw that two tires had damage that was probably caused by the pothole. We're hoping the Discount Tire lifetime replacement plan will get us a good deal on new tires.
It's good to be home, but we're already planning for our next trip.

Scruffy called Discount Tire, and they ordered two new Maxxis tires. He took the trailer in this morning, and they put the new tires on the trailer - no charge. Scruffy paid for the lifetime warranty when we bought the tires for $18 each.... we've certainly gotten our moneys worth out of those warrantys. The charge for the lifetime warranty has gone up to $22 per tire, but Scruffy gladly paid that.. it's good insurance.

Glad you had a great time at Disney World. I know what you are talking about when you said people will step on you and over you and try to take your place in the front if they can. The human race is unbelievable.
