Article on Per-Mile tax...

Post by TC on 11/19/2011, 3:30 am

Here's an article about a proposed new vehicle tax.

They can install a tracking device "black box" in my vehicle after they pry my cold dead fingers off the steering wheel!!

That's our Government. Never had to work within a budget like the average american. Just keep taking from the working man. They can install the black box in my vehicles as soon as they have taken my last gun from me.

I personally think it would be too cost prohibitive to make and install millions of "black boxes". But, since our gov't can print more money to cover their expenses...who knows. Maybe they'd propose yet another tax to cover the costs of manufacturing and installing these "black boxes". In other words, they could and would tax us to cover the expenses of keeping track of us.

Just the fact that someone could propose and others would entertain this idea, means that "big brother" is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality.

Ever heard the story about the frog and the boil pot? If you put a frog in boiling water, it'll jump right out. But, if you put him in cool water and gradually turn up the heat, he'll sit there oblivious and eventually boil to death. In some ways, I think the american gov't uses this approach with their sheeple.

I doubt the citizens would put up with this nonsense. Of course our politicians would call it a Fee and not a tax. When people talk about the "good ole days" they are not kidding. Finding middle ground in politics is like asking God and the devil to find middle ground. 2012 will prove which way our country goes via our votes.

They will probably start installing them in new GM (Government Motors) vehicles. Eventually, every car would have them installed at the manufacturer. If disabled a message would automatically be sent and then you could be arrested for tampering with government property.

I have seen the enemy, and he is us.

All they have to due is ask you for your mileage when you renew your tag. Bingo they send you a bill. Yeas people will give the information, but by most people will fill it out correctly because of their fear of what the government can do to you if they desire to.

I don't have to give them any ideas TC, they pay people hundreds of thousands of dollars to figure out new ways that they can "help" up.
