heater troubles
So this weekend, my heater didn't work so I switched bottles and it did work the next night and then the third night it didn't work again. What would cause this? Could it be the thermostat? Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: heater troubles
Sorry bout that. When I turn the switch to furnace, nothing happens. Hear a click and nothing. We were camping for 3 nights and the first night all I got with the one click. The second night it worked fine. The third night I got the click again. i checked the fuse both times it didn't come on and the fuse was fine. Both bottles were full. I don't know if it could be the thermostat, maybe it needs cleaning, or maybe I have a short. I've been lucky for a long time with campers never having any major problems. I am trying to avoid having to bring it in because the folks around me that work on them are far and few in between not to mention what it would cost me.

Re: heater troubles
There's a previous post by me about my similar problem. The "stainless steel" gas nozzle was rusted inside. Rust would pile up and cut off gas then would disperse and work fine. Just a thought.

Thanks. I will take a look. I just hope it is a simple fix. So yours was just making that click sound as well?

Re: heater troubles
My 32qbbs did the exact same thing yours is doing.
They took it out blew it out clean and put back in and it's worked fine since.
The guy that did the work was a regular heat and air guy that does work on the side
For a used camper dealer. So you may can find someone like that to clean it and check it out for you.

Re: heater troubles
Not sure about this, but shouldn't the blower on the furnace at least start when there is a call for heat...even if it does not light the blower will run on mine...I dont think your even getting that to happen right...so I'm thinking the circuit board... possiblly the Thermostat but the fact that you hear the click in the furnace tells me that the TT is calling for heat...
I dont want to steer you away from the other ideas its worth checking, but you may also want to look for loose wires or corroded conections within the furnace control board...

I think you are right about the blower. I think I read somewhere the sequence is something like this: The blower runs and that air movement moves a sensor(flag) that allows the gas to enter along with ignition. I would imagine the ignition is first then the gas is next.. I think I saw this on this site somewhere.. Good luck!

Re: heater troubles
Gonna try to blow it out and if that don't work gonna start digging. The times that all it did was click, the blower did not come on. When it did come on, it worked just fine and cycled like it should. I really hope it is just a cleaning I need. And I really appreciate all the help. I will update when I find out what it is. I will be out of town this weekend on business and have to wait until Monday to mess with it.

The burner won't lite unless the blower is running. No blower, no ignition. You may have a motor, board, relay or wiring issue. Blower comes on first which trips the sail switch which tells the controls the blower is running and up to speed. Than the igniter starts and lp valve opens and allows gas to the burner and it ignites. A thermocouple senses its burning and the igniter turns off and you got heat.
Something is keeping your blower from coming on. Either wiring, a dead spot on the motor, a relay (which may be part of the board) or the board itself.

My blower would always come on before it made the click sound.
I assumed your blower was coming on with the cleaning Idea.
