Canton trade days in Texas
Going to the First Monday trade days in Canton , Texas this weekend . All the reserve spots are full and we are having to land in the first come first serve area. Has any one ever stayed in this area? Is it nice or is it just a parking lot with campers stacked in like sardines?

It's one of the largest flea markets ever. If you can't find it there, it probably doesn't exist. I believe it opens the weekend before the first Monday of each month. DW and I have only been once. There are several cgs in and around Canton, TX but I have no idea how they are set up.

We've never been. Keep thinking we should go. We would probably just drive over for the day.
Don't know anything about the campgrounds in that part of TX.

I expect the first come, first serve are dry camping type. I can't remember for sure. We stayed in Lindale when we went there, but I would not recommend that campground.
It is an awesome place though. Just be sure you get out away from all the commercialized stuff and into the "yard sale" stuff. They have some great finds there. And be careful in the critter section...we came out of there with our baby boxer back in 2004.

Well we are at the trade days ,Parked in a open field , Packed in like sardines we where going to leave on Saturday but are blocked in for now so we will leave when every one else does. If you come here bring lots of water hose cause you have to run it 2 campers over and blocks cause we are jacked 6 inches up on one side to get level , but we are having a great time here.
