Spotted two Wildcats
First one was on I-20, westbound, a little west of Monroe, LA at 11:46am. It was pulled by a Dodge.
Second one is right across the "street" from us in Ameristar RV park in Vicksburg, MS. They are so close, they can easily see our name/number on our Cat - but they didn't come over...... and remember, I mentioned that we won't approach any more Cat owners.
Anyway, we're heading out early tomorrow morning, hoping to see more Wildcats when we get down to I-10.

Re: Spotted two Wildcats
We had a rather awkward experience when we approached some Wildcat owners who didn't speak any English. So, we just don't do that anymore. But, we are very happy to meet Wildcat owners or anybody else if they stop by to see us.

NO Habla??? Hey, that is no problem for me....sign language goes along ways no matter if you can speak the lingo or what.....at least that is what I've found.... Funny, after about 2 minutes of pointing, they start speaking English.....I use to do that when I was a repair tech for the phone company, and soon they get so annoyed they start speaking English, even if broken, cause they want their service fixed...heh... course then they cuss you in their language as soon as you turn around...............

Re: Spotted two Wildcats
This couple that didn't speak English spoke French - they are from Canada. This was back in the earlier days of the forum, and we used the little "business cards" that Phillip made up. I gave the man a card, and he recognized the word Wildcat. Well, it seems they were having a problem with their Cat and thought I was a representative of Wildcat, and expected me to be able to helpt them. The man spoke a smattering of English, but not enough to communicate the problem, and Scruffy and I couldn't have explained how to fix it - if we even could. It was a VERY awkward moment. I felt bad because the man thought we were from Wildcat, and I couldn't help him.
That's when we decided we'd stop approaching Wildcat owners. As we drive through the campground on the golf cart, we say hello to people along the way. If they are by a Wildcat, and say hello back, we would probably stop and chat a bit. Around here, not many people are hanging around their trailers. Oh - no more "business cards" for us.
