It is the Gold One specifically made for Ford. If you use anything else BOOM. Also add some Koolaide. Helps to keep it cooler.

Just had major work done on my 6.0 and they replace with the Ford Gold and Distilled water.

This has been discussed on the Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

Yep I have to replace the resevor tank (crack in it) and going to go ahead and drain and refill the system. Just wanting to make sure I use the right coolant.

I'm not in the south, but....
I upgraded to the Gold in my 7.3 when I replaced the water pump, tensioner and the tank a couple years ago.

Probably time to check coolant quality....

I switched to the Chevron Delo extended life (red). It has an 8 year life.

I use Prestone Heavy Duty Extended Life coolant which is also red. It is EC-1 rated, the best rating you can get for a diesel engine, as far as I can tell anyways. That Ford gold stuff that came in the Power Stroke engines is not made for the diesel but rather a general purpose fluid they use in all their vehicles and simply 'works' in the dielsels. Ever noticed the sludge in your reservoir?? EC-1 rated fluid is supposed to provide better heat transfer as well, something you would want down south I would think. A good discussion on this can be found here.
