Getting Ready for next season

Post by beartoo on 10/18/2011, 2:00 am

My camping buddy and I left the wives at home and work, then went on a road trip We put over 300 miles on my truck looking at four campgrounds. We went to one privite , 3 Goverment cheers .
The COE and the Forwst Service are great, the privite wasn't for me, NO trees, no water (Lake, river, etc.). So now we have to reserve sites, and check out one other COE. The wives trust us to pick good spot, seeing we know thier needs.
I haven't even put the Cat to sleep yet for this season.
Now for a long winters nap.

Sounds like quite an adventure. I suppose that if you pick places your wives don't like you are in BIG trouble. Laughing

We have found private campgrounds that were wooded, but there aren't many of them. So, to get trees we prefer state parks, national parks, COE's and municipal parks. Our favorite is a municipal park nearby where there are many pads that back up to a lake. We like to have electric and water hookups, but would be willing to take the trailer to the dumping station if we were there longer than our holding tanks allow.
