Moving Dolly
I have been thinking a long time about making some sort of dolly to put under the front of my WC under the legs so that I can move it around in the storage barn without the truck. Has anyone ever tried to make such a thing or am I crazy and have too much time on my hands.

Re: Moving Dolly
Forest River uses dollies under the landing gear and wheels to move the units as their built. It takes a few people to move a completed trailer on smooth flat concret though.

Re: Moving Dolly
I have seen where that this 3 point trailer mover was modified to where the Kingpin would fit into the 3 point trailer mover where the goose neck ball was located. That way if you have a Tractor you can move the trailer.

Re: Moving Dolly
Bob, I've thought about the same thing for years... more so for my previous TT's...
my thought was to make one motorized using a 12v truck starter and a chain drive...
I'm sure some are thinking why would you need this? but as discusssed in a previous post some of my favorite CG's are very limited to the size of rv's. Pinion flats in Colorado is a good example...It caters to tents and pop ups mostly.
A rugged tire electric dolly would be cool...but could you make it small and light enough to transport with you and would it stand up to 1000lbs plus load???
I was thinking more along the lines of using it for a TT...
someone out there must have made one, but not me and realisticly probably never will...
Still a great idea if you have the time and need for it though.

Re: Moving Dolly
Take a look at Northern tool, Harbour freight, local auto accessory store for "Car dollies".
I have 2 sets (4 total) that sit up under my 7000lb Jeep and I can push it around my garage with a little sweat and ared face!
They are rated at 1500lb each and cost about $50 - $80 bucks for 2.
They are concave to fit tires so welding a chunck of plate steel in the bottom for the landing gear shouldn't be too hard / expensive.

Re: Moving Dolly
I have been looking at the power mover for a while, but can't spring for the price. I store my WC in a 30 X 50 metal quonset. I can get the back in tight out of the way, but the front sticks out. I have thought about mounting the hitch on the forks on my tractor so that I can move it sideways. Back to the drawing board.
