I wish the hunters around here could hunt from the road. Its down right dangerous traveling at night. I had to swerve and miss one last night,,,, After I saw I was safe I started laughing thinking about that insurance commercial and the guy hanging on the side of the car. ,,,,,,

Sweet camping spot plum,,,,

This is a new lease for us. The first night we spent there (in a TENT no less...we'll NEVER do that again!!!) prior to taking the WC we saw three deer hop the fence and walk within 100 ft of camp. I told my husband we didn't need to get a stand!! We'll just open one of the back windows and he can shoot the deer from there. LOL

You got any favorite recipes for that venison? Years ago Scruffy worked with a guy who made venison soft-shell tacos. Oh, were they good! Very hot!

Here are a couple sites that have recipes for venison. Both sites are Norton secure.

Plumlee, all you need to do is plant some clover and drop a salt lick outside your door and wait for them to come to you. headbanger

I've got a good recipe for deer jerky and also one for smoking a deer roast.

While I was reading the forum, this guy showed up to have breakfast on the rest of my tomato plants about 5 feet from my window.

Beautiful! On the REST of your tomato plants? Does this mean that he's been eating them, or you have? Maybe enough to share?

The tomatoes are picked, they have been eating the plants and what was left over of my corn. Karyn canned 24 qts. of tomato sauce and about the same amount of pints of salsa for the coming months. A doe with triplets got into the garden and enjoyed some heads of cabbage, lettuce and cauliflower. I don't mind, she has three hungry mouths to feed.

That's how I would feel. Plant enough to share.... and it seems like you have an almost endless amount of entertainment.

Here are our latest visitors. The tom that brings them up to eat, about 24 in all (Karyn is always putting out birdseed and cracked corn) normally stays out in front of the house to fight with the other turkey (his image in the bumper of my truck) to keep them from his girls.
