Got to meet Bobnpi today
Bob was up here at the mill doing some work today and he was able to come by so I could meet him face to face and wish him a happy birthday. We had a nice visit and I look forward to seeing him while we are out and about sometime. Sure is nice to put a face with a name, thanks for coming by Bob.

You are most welcome. Thank you for being such a gracious host. I loved your "MAN CAVE". You called it a shed, but it had your camper, a ZTR mower, a fishing boat, and a John Deere tractor, as well as other manly things.

Re: Got to meet Bobnpi today
Glad you guys met up. Someday when we are passing through your area, Bob, we'll have to stop and meet. We're less than 3 hours from each other, for Pete's sake. Whoever Pete is, I don't know.

We have talked about coming over to that little park (Lloyds or something?) that you and Scruffy like, just to get away for a weekend. Maybe meet you there some day and toast each others health.

I am a firm believer in "He who dies with the most toys wins!!". Actually, the John Deere is a 1954 model 40 crawler. It came from my Great Grandfathers dealership and has never actually been "sold". Back then they used to let you try equipment out and this was out on "loan" when he died and it showed back up 2 years later but there wasn't a dealership anymore. Since the estate was already closed out, my Grandfather kept it. It did most of the clearing and dirt work for the "shed" and road that we drove on.

Wish I could get a 2 year "loaner".
At least they brought it back, eventually.

Re: Got to meet Bobnpi today
Bob,
Weekends are sometimes hard to get at Loyd Park. They take reservations. I'll look up their website. We always go there mid-week. That said, we went there in early October last year, and were told the park had been sold out everyday until the week after Halloween. Some company reserved the whole park. We had to go to Cedar Hill SP instead. Cedar Hill SP is okay - just not as nice, in our opinion, as Loyd Park.

Re: Got to meet Bobnpi today
Thanks for the info Tater. Pi and I are both due for a week off and may take vacation in early November if it all works out. We will let you know and even if you don't camp during that time, maybe you could suggest a nice place to meet for dinner one evening. Either way, we love meeting new people and we would love to add you to the list. So far, Ive met two forum members in person. Looking forward to meeting more.

Tater, we will be at Ft. Wilderness from 10/21 thru 10/30. Any chance of crossing paths this trip? Otherwise, I still have "hidden Mickey" item to hide for you to find.

Re: Got to meet Bobnpi today
We won't get to WDW till Nov 2. We'll be spending a few days with my brother and sis-in-law before going on down to WDW. You gonna give me a hint where to find the "hidden Mickey?" If you hide it at the end of your stay, and we look for it at the beginning of ours, there's a good chance it will still be there.

Re: Got to meet Bobnpi today
We have it setting on the counter with the other camper stuff so that we won't forget it. Should I give you a picture of it so you know what you're looking for, or keep it a surprise? What loop are you trying to stay in? We have requested 1326, but we'll see.

Re: Got to meet Bobnpi today
Let's keep it a surprise. Then, anything I find, I can keep.
We like the 1200 and 1300 loops. Would probably request an outside loop site. There are also some in the 800 loop that look wonderful - roomy, easy back-ins, and away from the main road. I believe some of the sites in 800 are alongside the old Fort Wilderness RR tracks. I have seen some pics of the old tracks, but they might have been removed by now.
If we can get an outside site in one of those 3 loops, we'll be very happy.
