Large Disparity In Fuel Prices

Just did the bi-annual trip to NC to see the in-laws. Filled up here in NH @ $3.779/gal. Next stop was in Penns Grove, NJ at a Flying J. Filled up at $3.739. Next stop was a Wilco-Hess station in Suffolk, VA. Filled up for $3.699. Filled up again yesterday morning at a Kangaroo in Sanford, NC for $3.899. Filled up again on the service area on the GSP in Montvale, NJ for $3.679.

Noticed that the Pilot station on I-84 at Exit 1 in Sturbridge, MA was $4.199/gal. Ah, Taxachussetts. Ain't she great. New York State and CT were also very, very high (above $4.00/gal).

Unbelievable!

You don't want to come to Kalifornia,,, $4.299 for diesel at our local station.

Just came up the California coast from Garberville to Cresent City. Regular was either $4.07 or $4.09 everywhere we went.

State gas taxes have alot to do with it. Also, I've noticed that stations right on the interstate often charge .10 avg. more than stations a couple miles off the interstate.

$3.87 for diesel here in Mid-Michigan.

Diesel prices have risen $0.25 here within the past 2 weeks.. average here in my part of Mexifornia is $4.00 - 4.15... it was down to $3.75 here 2 weeks ago.

We are at Yosemite and the campground(not in the park) has diesel for $4.89 and closer to the park it is $4.99. But 11 miles down the road it is $4.19. Would you call that price gouging?
