Easy mod

Post by Tracker16 on 9/10/2011, 8:41 am

The DW saw these chairs at Manards of all places, and wanted to know if they would fit in the camper.Well....They fit,and don't look too bad.If I do say so my self.I was going to put rocking chairs, but I was corrected...They are gliders. Silly me scratch

Very nice. We find 2 chairs are not needed. The spot from the door you can not see the TV and we use that for other needed items of camping.

How do they fit with the slide in? Look great and I like the idea of having "gliders".

They fit about the same as the factory ones did.I put one chair up on the couch when the DW is packing for vacation. When we are traveling it goes on the floor in front of the couch. Not much room to get through, but we don't go in and out enough for it to be an inconvenience.

I was just wondering how others strap down their chairs for travel in their Cats. The dealer never did explain that to us. I found the tie down strap and could see the D rings in the floor on the left side away from the slide but don't know exactly how the chair on the right side is supposed to go with the one on the left and both be strapped down in our 27RL. How do others do it?

What the dealer did was to move the right chair away from the slide and place it in front of the left chair with no straps. The chair moved when traveling and I didn't know if he should have done something different. It does make it difficult to walk through the trailer when stopped for lunch with that chair in the way but I don't know where else to put it. Do you have one chair in front of the other near the doorway?

Yeah Flyguy it is a little bit of a pain to get in.Mine sits more in front of the little table that sits between the chairs.I have a rubber backed rug in front of my door, and it seems to help keep the chair in place.I'll take a picture tomorrow for you to see how it sits in there.

Ok Flyguy,Here is how the chair sits when traveling and how it sits while the DW is packing it.I don't have room under my shelter to open the slides.Kinda messy, been doing some work inside and the DW been packing.

Traveling

And up for packing. The chair weighs next to nothing.
