Stupid is as Stupid does in Yellowstone.

These two links were posted in a different forum but with the recent thread titled "Bear-caused human fatality in Yellowstone Park" I thought I would repost them here. Both videos are less than one minute long and worth watching. I think it is amazing how stupid people have become about nature and wild animals in these modern times. Both bears are grizzlies.

Are those people so totally out of touch with reality? The park service posts warnings - surely all those people on the side of the road aren't illiterate!

They must of been having a "Stupid Person's Convention" in the Area. You just wonder what's going on in their mind to be so Stupid.

Sometimes I think people visiting National Parks view the "wildlife" as "zoolife", meaning non-threatening. Its clear they're not thinking rationally.

On that 2nd video, all those people could'a easily been a buffet line to that Grizz.

I never cease to be amazed every time that I go to Yellowstone. People think that it is Disney world. I had a lady call back to me as she was taking a picture of a bison to ask if I thought she was too close. I told her "if you have to ask you are and I can't outrun a bison, but I only have to outrun you".

Its not just Yellowstone, its everywhere. Or maybe I should say, THEY'RE everywhere.

My saying you are a kid is a good thing. Wish someone was older than me that could call me a kid. I remember my grandmother on my dads side "97 years young" calling my grandfather "87" on my mothers side, saying "hey kid how are you doing". Of course now all I get are the dinosaur jokes.

You Texans are doing things right. Your state has created most of the new jobs in this country. We had a home break in in our town and the wife asked if it was legal to protect ones home from an intruder... I told her that in Texas, they have the right to protect their home and property... not so here in Kalifornia. If we moved, Texas would be on a very short list of states that I would move to.
