Waiting for the repairs
Being a new member of the forum, I have to bide my time, waiting for repair(s) to our '06 29BHBP that we have used quite a bit each summer (about 28 K miles as best estimate). Hey, we bought 'em to use 'em, right! This is the first summer (or extended time) that the big Cat has been in the shop. I enjoy working on it myself and this episode reinforces that work ethic.
I wanted to thank all of the members for their wisdom, expertise, and humor as I have really poured over the information about Lippert frame welds, Trailair Equa flex suspensions, which brand of air pin box. . . . just good stuff.
I have picked up a few ideas and modifications along the way and will share when I can figure how to put the pics in the gallery.
Again, just trying to calm down and wait for next week to get the Cat back and get back on the road.

to the forum bigcatdriver. Mine is now in the shop getting two new axles, bearing and other stuff. Sometime waiting is the hardest thing to do.

Re: Waiting for the repairs
Well, got the 'cat back today after daily contacts to the dealer and the insurance company for a week and half (and on vacation too!) We now have a 1/4 thick 2" x 5" lower front beam attached to the pinbox rewelded on the corners, rock solid. Heading out to the racing at Bristol to see how it rides. . . .Thank you all for your well wishes but it was amazing what I had to go through and the stories (read "lies") to go through to get the insurance/dealer to pay for the claim. But it's all good, now.
