How often do you get to use your WC's

Ok so I'm curious I got into a discussion today with one of my customers a former RV owner...

He has the take that there is no way to possibly justify the expense that goes along with RV'n
He said he only went on two trips a year and then spent three weekends repairing or maintaining his...

He seemed to have an axe to grind against RV's but I got to thinkin...I really dont get to go camping much, but its something we love to do and the people I've met across the country and the fun weve had makes up for the fact that we may only go three times a year... I think the virtues of RV'n was lost on him anyways so I just considered the source...

So how many times do you all go on a yearly basis... and looking at some of your ages I reckon some of you may be retired...
Are there any workin stiffs like me with a family that sqeezes in camping more than three times a year...

Well now, I'm kind of embarrassed here... I started this thread and I havn't even used my WC once yet! what a slacker I am!

But I'm workin in it just came in from the garage. I have my new reese slider in place...THAT WAS FUN... just need to tourqe all the bolts tomorrow and continue with the set up...

Maybe next week I can get out and use the darn thing!

We take 2 4wk trips a year with 3or4 2wk trips. We like to travel about 350-400 miles a day then spend two nights some where to sight see. This is our 7th season with the WC and we have about 70k miles on her. We also spend weekends near home when we can. We bought her to use!

We made three trips this year. Usually try for 5 but did not happen with DW's surgery and Grads.

We try to use the Willcat more but normally camp 4 to 5 times a year for at least a week. Last summer and this summer have been really hot!!! South Louisiana is not good in the summer. If we have to stay inside to stay cool, We just stay home.
We met some old friends that moved away in May at a campground in Tn. and plan to meet again in Oct. to see the leaves change. (leaves don't really change in south La.)

We bought our WC specifically for the deer lease. We both work full-time and the deer lease is our weekend home. It's about a 2 1/2 -3 hour drive. So we use our WC at least 2 weekends a month year round. We will spend Thanksgiving and spend a week between Xmas and New Year there. We recently signed a 5 year lease and just got the WC set-up this past weekend. The second A/C unit we had installed is wonderful and the best mod we made to survive the TX heat!
