Round 2 of EzFlex install
Well installed the new Ezflex replacements Dexter sent. The first ones they sent were pretty much dry Rotted.
As you can see in the pictures The new one's look much better , We'll see how they hold up.
First trip out while setting up ,, I noticed the ezflex had a split

Kinda looked like you were holding a half filled ballon in your hand and squeezing it.
This picture is with no weight on the axles. I'm about to take the defective unit off. Holding the new one up for comparison. Well you can imagine the voices in my head while reinstalling these. Boy oh Boy,

Re: Round 2 of EzFlex install
While i was under there , I thought about using an extension line for the grease fittings. We use them at work for hard to reach places . You can have a length of hose as long as you want. Could run them out to the back bumper or some place easy to reach but out of site.

Re: Round 2 of EzFlex install
Looks a lot better. Ours still look like your new ones. Now you have to test them out on a trip.

Hey Phillip,
What a difference in the look of the rubber, I wonder if it would be worthwhile to spray some 303 aerospace protectant, or F21 on the rubber every once in a while.

Re: Round 2 of EzFlex install
Well after a trip around the block they look smashed in like they just don't have the strength to hold the weight of the camper.
I rode around the block and checked them a couple of times to see if they relax back to normal but they constantly look squeezed
No matter what position you put it in. Even when I returned to the parking pad , still compressed.

Re: Round 2 of EzFlex install
Well from looking at the picture Maxtor sent and talking to the engineer from Dexter they are supposed to look that way. Just not cracked or dry rot looking on the rubber. So I'll go with that.

Re: Round 2 of EzFlex install
Sounds okay. Something you can keep an eye on. Now you need to go on a little trip.

Re: Round 2 of EzFlex install
I had the "dry rot" problem with my first set. Dexter stepped up and replaced them, extraordinary service! I've got about 2000 miles on them so far this trip and they are compressed, but look fine. My ride is much better this year, but I must admit, can't point to a single "fix", but the air bags on the TV, the EZ-Flex and the Mor-Ryde pin box were a vast improvement over last year. I highly recommend any or all.
