Anything that goes on easy, and comes off even easier.

I've used Turtle wax ICE, very easy on/off.

I use this:

Buy or reuse a spay bottle. Mix 1 cup distilled water with 1 cup liquid Turtle Wax. Add 1 tablespoon dawn dishwashing detergent. Shake and spray on a washed camper (no grit to scratch). Don't let it dry but buff off wet with a terry towel. Works on windows and everything. Two hours flat to do my old 29RLBS. I got this recipe from a friend with a six year old DP. He does the coach twice a year and it looked like new. I now use on boat and all four vehicles. I will never wax the old way again. This is way too easy and works great. Rudy

I think I got this on this website but not certain. No idea who Rudy is (unless he played for Notre Dame).

Easy on/Easy off. Puts on a shine that lasts very well. The last time I was able to do this was Memorial Day Weekend 2010 and the shine still looks very goood.

Scruffy uses fabric softeners to get the bugs and gunk off, then I think he uses Turtle Wax.

Glen,
Thanks for the tip. I'll mention it to Scruff - he's interested in anything that will make life easier.

Glen,
I remember you posting this recipe before, I have it copied somewhere.

My only question would be, the dawn, dawn is suppose to strip wax off. On a lot of the car detailers websites, they suggest using the dawn to wash your car before you wax cause it strips wax off.

But hey, if you say it works, I believe you and might have to try it.

Tom,

Interesting point about the Dawn. I have no real answer but do have a guess.

The amount of Dawn is very small compared to the Turtle Wax (a Table spoon vs. a Cup). Could it be just enough to "soften" the old wax and blend it into the new? The Dawn could also be there to better mix the water and Turle Wax. We need a chemist!

ICE is good. Also, wife and daughter are better. I set up a scaffold for them to make it easier.

Used in such a small amount, the Dawn is probably just strong enough to "make water wetter" and cause water to mix better with the turtle wax.

"make water wetter" is laymans terms for part of what a surfactant actually does.

Meguiars #26 yellow wax for me. Goes on really easy by hand or machine. It rubs off just as easy. Find it at most Auto stores. Been using it since Cat was new and I wax mine twice a year.

Mequiars Boat & RV wax or the #26 like Carpe Diem said.

http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/product/4686

I am in the process of doing the Cameo for the first time with this. So far, I like it. I have done the nose several times with it and I am very satisfied with the results of my bug tests!! I did email Mequiars and asked them about applying to decals and they said "do not apply to vinyl decals". So I am not doing so.

I know they say not to, but I have repeatedly without issues. I suppose they need to cover their butts. That being said, I haven't had problems, but the next guy might.
