A way to know who we see on the road
Stole this from another forum, but thought it was a clever idea.
Start a Wildcat registry, whereby everyone here is assigned a number.
Put the number on the Wildcat and when we spot a fellow Cater with a number
we can look them up on this forum and know who we saw. Some will say dumb and may not want to put anything on their cat, but I thought I would pass it along.
I have no issues putting signage on my Cat.
Regards,
Keith

I like the back up camara, I usually just get to be frustrated with the wife That camara seems like it would take that out of the equation

I was thinking the same thing.
I hate looking in both mirrors and she's nowhere to be found. Have to get out of the truck and drag her back to mirror view.
we have some hand held radio's , I may try that next time. A paint ball gun crossed my mind once or twice , But that would leave a mark :hunter:
I do like the number system. But where would you put it so it would be seen without having to put it on all 4 sides ?

If the numbers were high on the nose cap and rear they would be visible in most (but maybe not all situations). How large would they need to be? How would they be applied?

I've got a friend that has a sign business. They do the vinyl designs like you do for cars also. I'm gonna try and get with him this weekend to get some hats/shirts/stickers/ car tags / etc...
and have a whole variety of stuff with the forum address on it and some kinda design.
I'll get with him about the numbers also. But they can do the kind like the car graphics where it looks like its painted on.
I'll let everybody know how that goes this weekend.

Phillip,
We just our cell phones, and I put mine on speaker.
Of course, that doesn't stop the DW from moving out of my mirror view. But then its not needed cause she can talk to me.

The color would have to be fairly bright to be able to see from across the expressway while traveling.

What ya thinking Grover ? Fusia PInk ? I definately wouldn't want flat Black.
I was thinking the darker color of the brown/beige mountain scape match would show up good enough. ? I'll get with my buddy Saturday and see what he thinks. He just lives around the corner from me, his shop is there also. I didn't realize he and his wife had gone full tilt with their shop and offer everything you can think of.
From key chains to door mats.

Re: A way to know who we see on the road
Actually we already have a number assigned to us. Go to the Membership list, set it for "joined date" and everyone has a number. The only issue is if someone leaves, do the numbers reshuffle?
Anyway, just an idea.

Re: A way to know who we see on the road
I'm not sure if that would work, Tank just joined yesterday and it shows him at #28,
A couple others joined yesterday and it shows them at 181 180....
Looks like that number system gets twisted around a little.
I'd rather make a whole new number system.
Some people have a lucky / favorite/ race number etc...
My race/lucky/daughters birthday is #22
So I want #22...............

Re: A way to know who we see on the road
If we go to "Joined Date" "Ascending" we get our correct numbers. I don't know what happens if someone quits the forum, I didn't know that option was available. I think our Admin can remove a member, though.
On another forum I use, I think the numbers remain the same. I'll go over there now and see.

I like the camera idea, but I'm going to wait for the wireless version. When my wife insists on helping
, we use 2-way radios.

Re: A way to know who we see on the road
On where to put the numbers..........
If on the front cap (high) you can see when traveling in the opposite direction. When traveling in the same direction, one can look back after passing.
If approaching from the side, don't worry about it - you are about to meet them in person.
Regards,
Keith
