Installing a second A/C unit in bedroom, HELP (!)
Hello Friends,
With this extreme heat, it has been really hard to stay outside.
My trailer is a 30LSBS by Forest River and it has a 30 amp service.
I was wondering if it would be possible to install a 2nd A/C unit in my bedroom using the standard 14" inch solar vent.
My idea is to run a pig tail out side where I could just run any extension cord to it (connected to shore), that way
I would be able to run both A/C at once (living room A/C and bedroom A/C).
I would appreciate any advice, ideas and concerns....
Thanks again for the help.

Just watch the height of the new unit. Camping world has the Dometic Penguin(only 9 1/2 inches high) on sale for $755 with a $111 installation fee. Although I dought they would want to install it with an extension cord. Its in their new flyer that came today. It should fit into the standard roof vent.
You could try fishing the wires down a wall and into the basement, then put a outlet into the basement for a good heavy extension cord.

Nows when someone needs to invent wireless a/c or wireless power.
Is the vent opening framing strong enough to support the a/c? Like Tom said, it'll change your overall height a lot.

If Nikola Tesla were alive today, that could be a reality.

Somebody ran one off an extension cord in this forum somewhere. Here they are. The second one has pictures.
