Newbie

Post by Crab Trap on 8/2/2011, 2:16 am

Howdy from Texas!
New to the site and seems to be a good bunch of people! We recently purchased a 2011 28 RKBS and so far no problems. We have not traveled with it yet, but it is in a RV park along the coast and that is our little get away.

welcome from Longview, TX. When you have the chance, please tell more about the RV park along the coast. DW and I have wanted to take the grandson for a week on the coast, but don't know anything about that area.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks to all and sorry for taking so long to reply. We are in an RV park in Sargent Texas called Caney Creek RV. Nice park, right along Caney Creek. Nice elderly couple run the park. Satellite TV, phone available. 30 and 50 amp service available with water and sewage hook ups. Showers and laundry room. Pier and boat launch in the park. Bar B Q pits, game room, decks and a lot of shade from the large Pecan Trees. It is located about 3 to 4 miles from the beach. Sarget is located just west of Freeport Texas. You can look at the area on Sargenttexas .com.

Can you catch Redfish on the creek? Doesn't seem to far inland for that.

We have in the past. The Creek is really salty right now due to the lack of rain. There have been people cathing Ladyfish and small trout from the pier in the past 2 weeks.
