Increasing Air Flow Through Air Ducts

Post by c04678 on 7/29/2011, 3:41 am

I found this on the Forest River forum and thought you would find it interesting. I haven't been able to check this out on my Wildcat yet, but sure do plan on it.

That IS interesting. We don't seem to have a problem with out little 29rlbs, but this might be a solution for some of you with larger models or bunkhouse models.

Thanks for the link.

I noticed it's been more than a year since we logged into that forum.

A lot of people probably could improve a/c performance by simply inspecting their duct. I put a light in one end and my video camera in a vent opening. We were able to increase air flow by replacing the vents and cleaning out the duct of sawdust, wood cuttings and pieces of wood. We also cut off a piece of the duct that was bent up, blocking about 1/3 of the duct instead of being cut property at the factory.
