Diamond Jacks Casino in Bossier City, LA
Tater or anybody else ever stayed at Diamond Jacks RV park in Bossier City, LA? We are heading down tomorrow night for the weekend. It will be so nice to not have to make the 1.5 hour drive home after being at the Boardwalk and casinos all day.

Re: Diamond Jacks Casino in Bossier City, LA
We have stayed there a couple times. Might be a good idea to get a reservation since it's the weekend. Last time we stayed there in January when the temps were in the 20s, the park filled up. We had a reservation - could only get a back-in, until we got there and suddenly a pull-thru was available. On that trip, all we wanted to do was stay in the trailer, keep warm, cook dinner, sleep, and get an early start home. All sites are paved, level, and kind of short. Fortunately, there was a paved parking space next to the rv space on the shorter sites. It's clean. I don't know if the attendant in the little office is there 24 hours or not. We have Diamond Jack's cards, but don't like the casino so seldom play there. If we did, we'd probably get a discount or free stay. It's a good enough place to stay, though, especially since it's the only one with a campground. Hope you don't mind trains. They don't bother us, but I've read complaints in some reviews. We saw rv's in the parking lot at Diamond Jack's that looked like they had stayed the night. Don't know if they got permission or not. The people on the ten oclock news were saying another casino is planning on building next to Bass Pro Shops. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, I think. Maybe they'll put in a campground. Looks like they would have enough room. I think that was still pending approval from the city. Regarding Diamond Jack's campground - we would stay there again.

Thanks, We do have reservations and like you, just a back in for now but if there is a pull through available, they will give it to us. I am fine with a back in and would prefer it actually so the cats and dog can look out the window at something for the weekend. Maybe they'll see a big gator in the Red River, that would entertain them. Trains are ok with us as we live a couple hundred yards from one now (train horns are a different story).
We are looking forward to the new casino and everybody we talk to down there say that it is a sure thing. We typically play at the Eldorado because we like their tables. Haven't played at Diamond Jacks for 3-4 years, but like you said, they have the RV park. Horseshoe has RV parking, but with all of the construction right now, I didn't want to take the gamble of being able to get in there right now.
