Cat had to go see the doctor
Last week we went camping 1 mile of the west entrance to yosemite national park. Since i live on the south side it was closer to travel through the park than go around. we were stopped 3 miles from the gate to get in because of the traffic going in, after about an hour we were in the park whichs normally takes an 1 1/2 hrs. to reach the west gate. Alot of cars and trucks going both dirrections, as i was going around a right hand corner a car coming toward me was over the yellow line so i had to go tight to the inside but before i could come out of it the rear of the 5er clipped a snow pole marker, after the big bang sound i looked back and saw nothing hanging off which woud'nt have matter becase the next place to pull off was roughly 5 miles, after finally stopping i found the rear awning arm was completely gone, the stabilizer was bent backwards. a few cratches and a small dent in the back lower panel and the knob to turn to open a side door was bent. Returned home on the 17th called the insurance on the 18th at 9am and the cat was at the doctors. AKA rv dealer body shop ( 1 pm ) the same day, Shock to me was $3000 in damages and may go up a little depending on if they have to paint on 2 small graphics or they can get them from forest river, My insurance showed up on the 19th and has already cut the dealer a check, ( with my name on it to ) so knowing the moneys there, they are trying to get the awning arms on and the stabilzer on before my next trip on the 10th of next month. They can do the rest when i return. Luckily my buddy was behind me and said that the awning arm hit the road and bounced off to the side.

Wow! Just very glad that you are okay. That guy over the yellow line could have caused some serious damage. And he just drove merrily away not even aware of being responsible for a serious mishap.

That is the kind of driving which justifies road rage!
Glad no one was injured.

Sorry to hear of you troubles...
Have your dealer call the Forest River parts department with regards to the graphics -- they may still have access to the old parts.

One question. Can they be painted on if the graphics are not available or can I have a sign guy make a ? vinyl? one?

The graphics are pressure sensitive vinyl decals, so a "sign guy" can most likely repair or reproduce most of the parts...
