Black Tank draining poorly-solved

Post by NorCalCat on 7/19/2011, 11:26 am

I kept having trouble getting the black tank to properly dump, I always felt that something wasn't right- not enough "whoosh." I removed the black plastic pipe leaving the tank and found a large plastic "knockout" disk about 4" diameter, from the original installation. This had gotten lodged in the discharge pipe of the tank and was restricting the flow.

Thought I would post this and try to save someone else a trip to the service department.
P.S.: Wear your old clothes when you check this!

Thanks, Jerry & Amy, for sharing this. It could save someone a lot of hassle.

Forest River needs to hire people who give a dam about their workmanship cuz that knockout piece is something QC final inspection won't find!!
