Welcome back to civilian life. I suppose there will be a time of withdrawal from the regimen of military living.

You going to miss Kentucky?

Hi Glen,

Thanks for your support, how long were you in the Military?

Are you looking forward to being Released from Active Duty?

Tom & TC,

Thanks for your support.

I am on the final four months of a 2 year voluntary retiree recall tour here at Ft. Knox. I will miss the people (Mil and DAC) I have been serving with but KY not so much.

These two years follow (by almost 10 years) a 28 year Army Reserve career which ended 1 FEB 00.

When back home DW and I will begin living our retirement dream. She retires from her job in a hospital lab on Sep 30th. Our first long camping trip will begin in Feb '12. We are definitely looking forward to that.

Congratulations on a long military career.... and on your new life of being a civilian.

Happy retirement and happy travels.

Tom,

This trip beginning in Feb '12 is through AL, FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, and MD with a two - three day jump back to MN at the end. I have looked at the route and do think we can be in Military or Senior Pass campsites almost all the time. We are discussing being at WDW for a bit.

If you and Sharon are anywhere along the route we would love to meet up with you. There are a lot of details yet to plan but the outline is to follow first the Gulf and then the Atlantic coasts. Hope to camp at Key West along the way. Should arrive in MD in mid to late May '12. I have a daughter getting her MSN in Pediatric Nursing from Johns Hopkins the Friday of Memorial Day weekend.
