Texas Renaissance Festival

Post by BobnPi on 7/15/2011, 9:51 am

DW and I have been a couple of times but it's been years ago. I think it's time we went again. Why do I like it so much?

Any questions?

Actually, this young lady was working at the Cajun food counter. I asked her why she had that stuff painted on and she said "I like men to look me in the eyes when they talk to me. This way I'm assured they will do so." Then she asked if I wanted a picture with here. DW insisted so I stood against the counter while she sat up on it. At the last second, I found myself in this pose. My face isn't red because it was a hot summer day. DW almost didn't get the pic for laughing. But still, I think I need to go back again. I really like Cajun food.

Ok, I've tried 6 times to load this pic and only got it to work once in the trial area. Deleted it there to post it here and cannot get it to load. Sorry, it's a good one.

One picture loaded. But, there was a big space above it that made me think there were two photos. That was about an hour ago. Now the picture loads, but there isn't a space above it. When Scruffy and I saw it in the practice area, we thought you were one strange couple. Laughing Well, maybe you are. Kinda glad that isn't your DW in the pic.

Is that the festival in Waxahachie? We've lived near there off and on for about 14 years, and have never been. Don't even know the dates this year. I wouldn't want to go while the weather is so hot.

Looked it up. Different festivals. Texas Renaissance Festival is in October, I believe.

The one in Waxahachie is Scarborough Renaissance Faire, and that was in June. It was hot, we wouldn't have gone.

October sounds nice, but we have doc appts in Oct, then as soon as we can after that, we're heading to Florida.

Odd, I still cant' see a picture. Oh well. Texas Renaissance Festival this year is from October 8 to November 27. I won't go to Waxahachie due to the heat.
